The 21-year-old Frenchman, already an overall star, confirmed in the Nascar Whelen Euro Series will be on the No. 27 Ford Mustang of the team coordinated by the Monegasque former F.1 driver. "Even more energy for the season starting soon!"

. Thomas Ferrando will race in the 2019 Nascar Whelen Euro Series with Alex Caffi Motorsport. The young French driver, born in 1997, will be at the wheel of the Ford Mustang in Elite 1, the car of the team headed by the Monegasque former F.1 driver will carry number 27 in the series which will raise its curtain in the April 14th weekend, on the Valencia Circuit in Spain.

Ferrando started his career with brilliant results in French karting. Switching to Nascar aged only 17, he confirmed his talent in the spectacular races of American origin and in 2017 he won the chance to sharpen his experience on the overseas circuits where the rear-wheel drive and 5.7-liter Chevrolet engine cars series was born.

The Alex Caffi Motorsport team secured three titles within the prestigious series in 2018, and in 2019 it revives the challenge with four drivers: besides Ferrando, Japanese Kenko Miura, backed by the Japanese manufacturer, will return behind the wheel of the no. 2 Toyota Camry with which he won the Elite 1 Challenger Trophy; with the same car in Elite 2 Finn Jesse Vartiainen will make the most of the experience gathered in the past season. On the no. 27 Ford Mustang the challenge for Elite 2 will be headed by Pierluigi Veronesi, the Italian driver who in 2018 took podium places amongst the Rookies. With the Chevrolet, the team will thus become the first team to take to the track all the three astonishing cars, of the series born in the USA. The technical staff will be strengthened by the experience and expertise of engineer Franco Scotuzzi, formerly Scuderia Italia

Alex Caffi said “After the announcement of the first three drivers who will be with us in 2019, one piece was still missing, the agreement signed with Thomas Ferrando. The team is enriched by a young driver who, however, can already boast some proven experience and who has earned the privilege to race also in America. The presence of Ferrando will be a further boost for the entire team already motivated to defend the three titles and the good things done in 2018 and looking forward enthusiastically to the new challenges of 2019 which will begin in 2 weeks”-.
