The team led by the Monegasque former F1 driver had severeal reasons to be satisfied, starting from the fourth consecutive victory among the Ladies of Carmen Boix, which allows her to increase her advantage at the top of the standings, in addition to the first  Challenge success for Kenko Miura. The drivers of the US-born series using 5.7-liter Chevrolet powered rear-wheel drive cars, with 450 bhp and a weight of 1,200 kg have given rise to spectacular challenges in the most important and followed race of the season, on a track which  levelled the vehicles' performances enhancing individual driving skills.

In Elite 1 Japanese Kenko Miura with the Toyota Camry, after qualifying 19th, finished race 1, characterized by three restarts after Safety Car, in second place of the challenge, improving from the third place obtained in the previous round at Franciacorta, while Bert Longin on the Ford Mustang was hit by another competitor during one of the Safety Car phases losing three laps and finishing 25th. In race 2, Sunday, Miura obtained the first Challenge win of the season, in 13th overall. In the Elite 2 race Kenko Miura set off 14th, then found himself battling with his team-mate Carmen Boix on the Ford Mustang. The Spanish girl who started 26th drove a good comeback before being the victim of a contact with a rival, she finished 20th in front of Miura taking a fourth consecutive win among the Ladies. Race 2 on Sunday saw Kenko Miura, who started 10th, regain positions climbing up to seventh place, second in the Rookie standings. Carmen Boix, who was 14th on the grid after the excellent work of the team which  rebuilt in 90' the Ford Mustang damaged by Bert Longin in a contact at the start of the Elite 1 race, was involved in an accident and the victim of a puncture. After a tyre change, she ended second of the Ladies.

Alex Caffi said “All in all it was another positive weekend. For the results, but also it's always beautiful to race at Brands Hatch: it is the most important race of the season, the one which attracts more fans, almost 100,000 people between Saturday and Sunday, even the weather helped us. In the races we managed to get good results, especially Kenko Miura who did very well in both races, being constantly close to the best times and obtaining excellent results. Carmen won in race 1, in the second she was not lucky: starting 14th, showing that she is competitive at an overall level in Elite 2, she had a front right puncture after a contact and despite losing one lap she fought back ending second Lady. Now we will work for the next race on the Tours oval, together with an American engineer who will come to support the team”.

The fourth round of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series before the summer break will be held at the end of the month on the oval track of Tours (F)
