MAVTV’s cameras
will be on hand to bring viewers "live" the Kentuckiana Ford
Dealers ARCA Fall Classic 200 from Salem Speedway (Indiana) at 7 pm ET
Saturday, September 15.
The Salem Speedway
entries will have a decidedly local flavor with four hometown favorites led
by Will Kimmel (No. 69 FASS Diesel Fuel Systems Ford), of nearby
Sellersburg, Indiana, fresh off a career-best second-place finish at
DuQuoin.
The Kimmel family,
including family patriarch Bill Kimmel, Sr., brothers Frank and Bill, and
cousins Frankie and Will, all established themselves as winning drivers on
the short tracks of southern Indiana. Bill, Sr. has three career ARCA wins,
Frank is the all-time leading ARCA winner with 80 wins and 10 national
championships.
But, as the saying
goes, “It ain’t going to be easy.” Heading the out-of-state competition on
the .555 paved oval, will be the Southern California duo of Sheldon Creed
and his MDM Motorsports teammate Zane Smith. Creed, from Alpine, California
will be driving the No: 28 Toyota Camry and Smith from Huntingdon Beach,
California, the No: 41 Toyota Camry. Creed and Smith are one-two in the
2018 ARCA Championship points standings.
This will be the
18th of 20 events on this year’s ARCA series schedule and the 103rd race at
Salem for the ARCA series.
