QiE, one of China’s largest live sports streaming platforms with one

make up WTCR Race of China-Ningbo this weekend (28-30 September).
In addition, users will hear from drivers and team principals though
interviews carried out by an onsite crew at the WTCR – FIA World
Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO event.
Owned by Tencent, QiE broadcasts NBA (National Basketball Association),
CBA (China Basketball Association), Formula One and added WTCR OSCARO
to its 24-hours-per-day programming portfolio ahead of WTCR Race of
Hungary in April under an exciting agreement between QiE and Qishi, the
WTCR media rights holder in China.
Yue Pan, Managing Director of Qishi, said: “It’s exciting that WTCR
comes to China after we broadcasted the European races of this year.
Chinese audiences are now familiar with WTCR drivers, cars and teams
after following the series for months. We will also have the online
campaign to bring online audiences to the event in Ningbo to experience
the glamour of the race.”
Mingjue Ye, Business Department General Manager of broadcaster QiE,
said: “As the exclusive live broadcast partner of WTCR in China, we
have cooperated and broadcasted five races, and the total viewing
person-time is nearly two million. At each event, we excavate the
highlights of the event and set up interesting interactive mechanisms
such as sweepstakes to attract fans' attention. We have also been
trying hard to show the events in a more entertaining way. At
WTCR Race of China-Ningbo, in addition to broadcasting live all three
races, we will also send the anchor to the scene to explore and present
more exciting and interesting live broadcast content.”
François Ribeiro, Head of Eurosport Events, the WTCR promoter, said:
“China is the world’s largest car market with 12 million cars sold in
the country in the first half of 2018, and with two race weekends and a
top Chinese driver in Ma Qing Hua on the grid, it’s very important to
be working with such an important broadcast partner in QiE. The fact
they are increasing their commitment to WTCR OSCARO for the the Ningbo
weekend is not only excellent news, it’s also a measure of the the
importance they are giving to this exciting global touring car
championship.”
