Pierre Louis Loubet e Vincent Landais al via nella gara di casa
Ha preso ufficialmente il via, con lo shakedown di questa mattina, la 61ª edizione del Rally di Corsica.
La gara, che si corre sui classici asfalti tortuosi dell’isola mediterranea, scatterà Venerdì 6 Aprile con le prime 4 prove speciali in programma. Sabato si entrerà nel vivo con ben 6 prove che metteranno a dura prova uomini e mezzi. Domenica, prima del finale, ancora due prove contro il tempo, una della quali di oltre 55 km.
Un rally impegnativo, con un totale di 12 prove speciali, 333,48 km cronometrati su 1119,68 da percorrere.
Pierre Louis Loubet e Vincent Landais, del Team Oscaro, saranno al via sulla Hyundai I20 R5 gommata Michelin gestita da BRC Racing Team, nella prima delle sette gare del programma WRC2, reso possibile grazie anche al prezioso appoggio della FFSA.
Il pilota di casa, nato a Bastia, sede delle operazioni principali del rally, è quanto mai fiducioso: “Questa mattina abbiamo effettuato lo shakedown e sono soddisfatto delle sensazioni provate. Sto prendendo confidenza con la nuova vettura e spero di potermi ritagliare un ruolo da protagonista”.

BRC Racing Team at Tour de Corse
Pierre Louis Loubet and Vincent Landais to start home race
The 61st edition of the Corsica Rally officially took off with this morning's shakedown.
The race, which takes place on the classic winding streets of the Mediterranean island, will start Friday, April 6th , with the first 4 special stages scheduled. Saturday, the challenge will get deeply into action with 6 stages that will put a strain on men and means. Sunday, before the grand finale, two more stages against time, one of which is run over 55 kilometers.
A challenging rally, with a total of 12 special stages, 333.48 timed kilometers over a total 1119.68 kilometers to go.
Pierre Louis Loubet and Vincent Landais, from Team Oscaro, are driving the Hyundai I20 R5 with Michelin tires, managed by BRC Racing Team, for the first of the seven races of the WRC2 program, made possible also thanks to the valuable support of FFSA.
The local driver, born in Bastia, home of the main rally operations, is very confident: “This morning we did the shakedown and I am satisfied with the feelings I had. I’m becoming familiar with the new car, and I hope to take a leading role in this competition”.
